This high fidelity simulation CPD program is offered in Banff after a very successful trial in Brooks, Alberta. The models are extremely costly. For the Banff program, these fees reflect substantial financial support from RCCbc, RhPAP, and SRPC.
Registration is limited to 16 participants. Registration closes November 1st. (our last date to order the simulation models) All fees are non refundable after Nov 1st.


Objectives

  1. To learn to recognize and to intervene surgically using simulated uteruses for life threatening post partum hemorrhage.
  2. To identify the anatomy, to learn the surgical principles, and to practice the technique of Cesarean Hysterectomy as a life saving intervention.
  3. To review and practice the other surgical interventions (Bakri Balloon, B Lynch) for life threatening PPH.
